of green cotton buds and ants in the vast blue sky

my greatest barrier will always be reaching out.

sometimes, you really want to cry out for help. but you get so used to that cheerful mask you just can't be bothered to take it off anymore. or rather, you don't dare to take it off.

at these times, it can be tiring to be around people.
mum said i'm really skilled at holding back, because i never once let a tear fall in sight of them.
it gets tiring.

still, it's good in another sense.
you pretend so hard you begin to believe that you're really okay yourself.

"yes, i am fine."
